On a day when you have little energy, start with your immediate needs and the obligations that cannot wait. The rest of the plan may need to change. You do not have to finish a task to earn a rest.

Here, “low energy” describes how you feel today. It is not a diagnosis, and looking at a task list will not always explain the cause.

Do not jump to a cause

A short night, a busy day or an unexpected event can make a plan less manageable. But attributing all tiredness to mental load could overlook other possible causes.

If tiredness lasts, affects daily activities or comes with other symptoms, speak to a doctor. Assurance Maladie, the French health insurance service, describes when to seek medical advice. You do not have to find the right planning method before asking for that advice.

Look at what is making the day harder

Instead of opening every list, take a moment with today's plan. Appointments already take time. Some tasks need information you do not have. Others are no longer tied to a current deadline.

Remove those last items from today's view and review the commitments left. If someone is waiting for a piece of work, a brief message about the deadline may be more useful than another attempt to fit everything in.

Choose a manageable next action, or stop

Take one necessary task and identify its first action. For “send the application”, that might be finding the email listing the required documents. You will then know what is missing before planning more work.

If you need rest, you can leave that action for now too. When an obligation must stay, look at what can be reduced, shared or moved around it. The article on organising difficult days goes through these choices.

At the end of the day, tomorrow does not automatically inherit the entire original plan. Review what remains and decide where it belongs next. A task waiting for a reply can stay pending, rather than getting a new date every morning.

What Molleva's Low energy mode changes

When you select Low energy in your daily check-in, Molleva simplifies the presentation. You can keep fewer essentials in Today and move the others into Later. Low energy mode is part of the free plan.

The Premium One thing view, which shows one essential and hides the others, is different. The plan comparison explains the distinction. The app can organise what you have decided; it does not measure tiredness or determine its cause.

Questions about low energy days

Do I still have to choose an essential?

You can choose fewer things or plan no optional work. Essentials help you decide what to do today; there is no minimum number to complete.

What if I have a deadline today?

Check the required result and the exact deadline. Depending on the situation, ask for help, discuss an extension or remove other planned tasks. For deciding between commitments, see how to choose your priorities.
